Smart Features
Air Quality Sensor
The integrated sensor continuously measures the air quality in the room. A colored LED indicator displays the current air status (e.g. good, moderate, poor). The air quality sensor can also be used to control the fan speeds (automatic mode).
Automatic Mode
In automatic mode, the unit adjusts the fan speed automatically according to the measured air quality.
Ionizer
The HPA710WE4 features an integrated ionizer. This allows tiny dirt particles in the air to combine with negatively charged ions. This creates larger, electrically charged particles that can be captured by the filter system.
Speed Levels
- 4 manual speed levels
- Additional auto mode
- Sleep mode for especially quiet operation
Sleep Mode
In sleep mode, the air purifier operates with reduced noise and dimmed lighting.
Timer Function
Adjustable to 2, 4 or 8 hours. After the selected time has elapsed, the device switches off automatically.
Child Lock
When the child lock is activated, unintended changes to the settings are prevented.
Filter System and Functionality
The air purifier operates with a 3-stage filtration system:
- Pre-filter:
The pre-filter captures larger particles such as dust, hair and lint. This coarse filtration extends the service life of the HEPA filter.
- HEPA Filter (H13):
The HEPA filter (High Efficiency Particulate Air) is designed to remove up to 99.97% of all particles from 0.3 microns (H13). It filters fine dust, pollen, mold spores and reduces pet dander. This makes it particularly suitable for allergy sufferers and asthmatics.
- Activated Carbon Filter:
The activated carbon filter neutralizes or reduces unpleasant odors such as smoke, pets and kitchen smells. It binds volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to achieve effective odor reduction.
The 4-stage filter system ensures a clean result. Coarse particles are trapped in the pre-filter, the activated carbon filter neutralizes the odor, and finally the air passes through two HEPA filters, removing up to 99.97% of all particles larger than 0.3 micrometers.
Maintenance and Filter Replacement
Regular filter replacement is essential for consistently high purification performance. The intervals depend on usage and air pollution levels. As a general recommendation:
| Filter | Recommended interval |
|---|---|
| Activated carbon filter | every 3–4 months |
| HEPA filter | every 24–30 months |
