What Is Required for Operation?

The Comedes Demecto 30 WiFi comes ready to use. Only a suitable power supply is required for operation. Condensation water can either be collected in the integrated water tank or continuously drained via the built-in hose connection. A dust filter is included in the unit.

The following condensation drainage options are available for different application scenarios:

  • Standard operation via water tank: Accumulated condensation is collected in the 6.5-liter water tank. When the tank is full, the device automatically shuts off and signals that emptying is required.
  • Continuous operation with hose: Condensation can be continuously drained via the existing hose connection, provided a suitable drain is available and water can drain properly.
  • Condensation drainage with an external pump: If condensation cannot be routed to a suitable drain via natural slope/gravity, a suitable external condensate pump may be required depending on the installation setup.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What room sizes is the Comedes Demecto 30 WiFi suitable for?

The Demecto 30 WiFi is designed for the active dehumidification of rooms up to 50 m² with a ceiling height of 2.3 m. For keeping rooms dry, according to the manufacturer, it can be used in rooms up to 100 m² with a ceiling height of 2.3 m. The actual dehumidification performance depends, among other factors, on room temperature and humidity.

How does the automatic hygrostat control work?

Desired room humidity can be manually set via automatic mode. The integrated hygrostat controls operation according to the selected setting.

Can the Demecto 30 WiFi be operated continuously?

Yes. Via the integrated hose connection, condensation water can be continuously drained with a proper setup. As a result, the water tank does not need to be manually emptied regularly during continuous drainage.

Does the device automatically shut off when the water tank is full?

Yes. When the water tank is full, the Demecto 30 WiFi automatically shuts off. This prevents collected condensation water from overflowing the tank.

Can the dehumidifier also be used in cooler rooms?

Yes. The operating temperature range specified by the manufacturer is 5 °C to 35 °C. The integrated automatic defrost feature supports operation at lower temperatures within this range.

Can the Comedes Demecto 30 WiFi be controlled via an app?

Yes. The Demecto 30 WiFi can be controlled via smartphone or tablet. The Tuya and Smart Life apps are available for this purpose.

Can the Demecto 30 WiFi be used for building drying?

The Demecto 30 WiFi can be used to support building drying. For major water damage or extensive drying projects, however, more powerful professional building dryers may be required. Dehumidifying ambient room air alone does not completely remove moisture trapped in walls or structural components.
