FAQ: Help to Air conditioner

Answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding air conditioning systems

What should I consider when installing an air conditioner?
Air-conditioners must not be placed behind cabinets, curtains, etc., since the cool air must circulate uniformly in the room. Persons, animals and plants should never be directly blown. Compact devices should be attached to the shadow side of the house. During installation, the near heat sources and splashing water areas must be avoided.
Where will the exhaust passes executed in a monoblock air conditioning?
the warm air is directed through the exhaust hose from the window or through a wall opening into the open. Some devices also have a window passage.
Which factors are dependent on the cooling result?

1. Before setting up the appliance, make sure that the sunblinds are installed in front of windows and wide window sliding doors: preferably external blinds or window shutters, otherwise internal blinds or translucent interior curtains.

2. The cooling effect on the room temperature and at the same time reduces the humidity.

3. Condition for optimum comfort:
- temperature approx. 20ºC, relative humidity between 35 and 65%
- temperature approx. 26ºC, relative humidity between 35 and 55%
- temperature approx. 30ºC, relative humidity between 35 and 40%

4. If the space to be cooled has several openings (doors, windows ...), the unit should preferably be aligned to the north or east.

5. Windows and doors should remain closed. If the connecting hose is laid through an open window or a door, the gap required for this purpose should be kept as narrow as possible by a tensioning strap or other device.

6. Do not allow your room climate meter to stall at a "ceiling". Regularly clean the air filter, as the filtered air is reduced by a soiled filter and thus severely impairs the efficiency of your air-conditioning unit.

Are there air-conditioning units without an outdoor unit or without an exhaust hose?

No, this is not physically possible. They can generate heat (e.g., by heating fans) but no cold. Heat can only be directed to another location, so you always need a connection from the cooling room to the outside, since cooling always transfers the heat from a place where it is unwanted (eg Dachwohnung) to a place where it does not disturb ( Outside).
Even with a refrigerator, the heat is directed from the inside to the outside. Air conditioners work according to the same principle!
There are on the market devices, which are sold as air conditioning, whose cost is under 100, - €. These "miracle devices" can apparently cool, humidify, ventilate and clean the air for little money. In reality, there are no air-conditioning units, but air humidifiers that cool the ambient air by 1 to a maximum of 2 degrees. This is done according to the evaporator principle. When water evaporates, energy is needed, which is used here in the form of heat.
We also have similar devices in the program, but these are intended for air humidification!

Are air conditioners healthy or unhealthy?

A properly installed and dimensioned air conditioning system contributes to your health. Because air-conditioning systems have different filters, they also have the advantage that the room air is cleaned.
Since they regulate the temperature and humidity in a room, they contribute to the general well-being of a person. The comfort of the human being is 22 - 24ºC and a relative humidity of 45 - 55%. The warm air in the summer contains a lot of moisture. The human body feels warm air with high humidity as very unpleasant.

The air conditioning of a room dehumidifies the air and reduces it to a comfortable temperature.

Which room temperature is the right one?

If the room temperature is too high, the air quality will be bad. At low room temperatures, the air quality is perceived as pleasant and fresh. This means that bad or musty air is not only to sufficient ventilation, but also to too high temperature. The healthy optimal room temperature will be the temperature difference to the outside temperature of max. 6-8°C recommended.

What is the influence of room temperature on humans?

Labor productivity is highest at 21 ° C. With an increasing room temperature of 26-28 ° C the efficiency is only about 50%.

What happens to the moisture that is extracted from the air?

In Monoblock air conditioners, the condensation water is collected in an extra container, which must be emptied from time to time (8 hours to 7 days).
In the case of chippings, the condensation water is returned to the natural water circuit via the outdoor unit.

How can I save energy when air condition turn on
How does the window seal work?

The window seal is designed so that you can also cut a hole in your window and thereby transport the warm exhaust air into the open. It is a special double seal, which is also intended for double-glazed windows and doors.
You will also get a "blind plug" to seal the window when you are not using the air condition.

Does the outer part at a split air conditioning, have a separate power supply or power comes from the inner part?

Only the inner part needs a normal 230V socket. The outdoor unit is supplied with power by the indoor unit. There is only one? Connection line for KlimaLexsplit devices, in which the cooling lines, the current and control lines as well as the condensation water line are included.

Where is the difference between monoblock and split air conditioning?

Monoblock air conditioners consist of only one unit (monoblock). Advantages of a monoblock air conditioner:
+ Only one device
+ No mounting required, socket is sufficient
+ Cheap
Split air conditioning systems consist of two parts. Splitt, because the air conditioning system is split into an indoor unit, which stands in the office or in the apartment and in the outdoor unit, which is installed or installed outdoors.
Advantages of a split air conditioning system:
+ Power amplifier as monoblock air conditioners
+ Quieter, since the compressor is in the outdoor unit, and thus the noise level outside the cooled room.
+ Splitters work more efficiently (ATTENTION: monoblock air conditioners are differently
classified into energy efficiency classes than split air conditioning units!)
