Intended use
Only use the dehumidifier to remove humidity from the air at atmospheric pressure in closed indoor rooms.
The dehumidifier is only suitable for users with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities if appropriate supervision or detailed instruction on the use of the dehumidifier by a responsible person is ensured. Children must not use the dehumidifier.
Every user must have read and understood the operating instructions.
Intended use also includes compliance with the specified conditions of use (see page 5).
Foreseeable misuse
Any use that does not correspond to the intended use or goes beyond it is considered misuse and will void any warranty claims.
WARNING! Explosion due to flammable refrigerant!
- Do not use any objects, other than those permitted by the manufacturer, to accelerate the defrosting process.
- Only store the dehumidifier in rooms without permanent sources of ignition (e.g. open flames, an operating gas appliance or an electric heater).
- Do not drill into or burn the dehumidifier.
- Refrigerants are odourless!
- Set up, operate and store the dehumidifier in a room with a floor area larger than 4 m².
WARNING! Electric shock from live components!
Spilling condensate onto live components can cause life-threatening electric shocks.
- Before each change of location of the dehumidifier:
- Pump out residual water: To do so, press “P” on the control panel. A small amount of water remains in the dehumidifier for technical reasons.
- Switch off the dehumidifier and unplug the mains plug from the socket.
WARNING! Electrocution!
- Work on electrical components may only be carried out by the manufacturer or authorised personnel.
WARNING! The dehumidifier must not be used under the following conditions:
- In rooms with potentially explosive atmospheres.
- In rooms with aggressive atmospheres, e.g. caused by chemicals.
- In rooms with water with a pH value below 7.0 or above 7.4.
NOTE: At lower pH values there is a risk of corrosion for all metals.
- In rooms with salt or liquids with a salt content > 1 %, e.g. brine baths.
- In rooms with ozone-treated air, high solvent concentrations or extremely high dust pollution.
WARNING! Poisoning, burns, crushing during maintenance work!
- Work on the internal components may only be carried out by the manufacturer or authorised personnel.
- Repairs or maintenance work may only be carried out by the manufacturer or authorised personnel.
ATTENTION! Damage to property!
- Only use original or approved spare parts.
In the event of a malfunction, switch off the dehumidifier and secure it against being switched on again accidentally.
WARNING! Crushing as a result of instability!
- Preferably transport the dehumidifier in an upright position.
- Always secure the dehumidifier against tipping over or slipping.
- Always set up the dehumidifier on surfaces that are as level and firm as possible.
WARNING! Tripping over the drainage hose!
- Before transporting the dehumidifier, disconnect the drainage hose from the appliance.
WARNING! Crushing, cutting from reaching into the air filter grille during transport!
- Always transport the dehumidifier using the handles.
- Do not reach into the air filter at the back of the dehumidifier.
CAUTION! Crushing or ergonomic damage when moving or transporting the dehumidifier!
- Always transport the dehumidifier using the handles.
- Avoid uncontrolled movements.
WARNING! Tripping over the connected drainage hose!
- Route the drainage hose outside the walking area.
- Fit safe and stable covers to the drainage hose.
CAUTION! Injuries due to loss of stability or uncontrolled movements of the dehumidifier!
- Preferably transport the dehumidifier in an upright position.
- Always secure the dehumidifier against tipping over or uncontrolled rolling away.
- Always set up the dehumidifier on surfaces that are as level and firm as possible.
NOTE: The air must circulate freely. Do not cover the air openings. There must be a clearance of at least 1 m in front of the air outlet and the air filter.
Do not switch on a stored dehumidifier immediately. It may need an adjustment phase to the room temperature, especially after storage below 0 °C.
ATTENTION! Damage to property / inadequate appliance output due to incorrect connection of the condensate drain hose!
- Do not bend the hose.
- Do not place any objects on the hose.
- Regularly check that condensate drains off safely.
Electrical connection Check the following points before connecting the dehumidifier electrically:
- The mains voltage must correspond to the connection voltage in the technical data!
- Provide an adequate fuse for the socket and the power supply!
- Install an earth leakage circuit breaker in damp rooms and building sites!
- The plug of the dehumidifier must be suitable for the socket of the building!
- The socket used must be earthed!
NOTE: Allow the dehumidifier to rest in its final position for approx. 15 minutes before starting up and after transport. During this time the oil distributed in the refrigeration system and foamed up by transport flows back into the compressor.
WARNING! Damage to health from dust!
- Vacuum the foam filter from both sides, wash and dry if necessary.
- Only clean the dehumidifier with compressed air in open spaces.
- Wear a protective mask and goggles.
ATTENTION! Damage to property!
- Cleaning agents can damage surfaces. Only use mild detergents.
WARNING! Injury from electric shock!
- The dehumidifier may only be repaired by the manufacturer or authorised personnel.
CAUTION! Injury!
- Never stack more than four dehumidifiers on top of each other.
- Always secure the dehumidifiers against tipping over.
