Safety informations

• Dispose of the packaging material so that it is not accessible to children. There is a danger of suffocation, e.g. by swallowing!
• The voltage indicated on the nameplate must correspond to the available mains voltage.
• Only operate the unit when completely assembled!
• The device must be operated on a flat, stable surface, not higher than 800 mm.
• Ensure adequate lighting (at least 500 lux).
• Position the mains cable such that no danger of tripping is possible in order to avoid throwing, or pulling the unit over.
• Do no push objects through the guard. Any loose objects which could be sucked in are to be removed from the suction area before switching the fan on. Keep loose clothing, such as scarves with fringes, away from the guard.
• The units are never be touched when having wet or moist hands.
• NEVER ALLOW WATER TO ENTER THE DEVICE! The fan must never get wet. If the unit has become wet, immediately unplug it from the mains.
• Do not expose the device to harmful environmental influences (rain, strong sunlight, etc.). Keep the device away from heat sources. The maximum continuous ambient temperature is 35 °C.
• To unplug the power cord from the outlet, pull on the plug and not the cord.
• Switch off the device and pull the plug when not in use, prior to cleaning, and when moving the fan to a different location.
• Do not use the device in locations where it could fall or be knocked into water. Never reach for the device if it falls into water. Turn off the power at the circuit breaker immediately and then pull the plug.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understands the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

Intended use: The fan is used to circulate room air in compliance with the technical data and safety instructions.

Improper use: The use in machines, outdoors, in garages and in wet rooms or rooms at risk of fire and explosion is not permitted. Modifications to the device are not permitted. Residual dangers: The fan must not be used on uneven, soft or sloping surfaces. There is a risk that the fan could fall over.

Caution: Risk of injury from damaged impeller! Check the impeller for visible cracks and damage. Repeat this step if the unit has accidentally fallen over. > Maintenance/cleaning notes

Maintenance/cleaning notes

• Warning: Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work, remove the plug or switch off the electrical equipment from mains!
• The removal of the plug has to be such that an operator can check from any of the points to which he has access that the plug remains removed.
• Check regularly, but most definitely before every use, the mains cable and mains plug for damage. If any damage is visible, then further use of the unit must not be made.
• Routine maintenance must be carried out once a year, earlier if it is very dirty.
• During regular maintenance, check the impeller for visible damage and cracks. If there is damage, the impeller must be replaced with a new impeller. Never operate the fan with a damaged impeller!
• Clean the surface of the housing and the guard with a dry cleaning cloth and a damp brush. Do not use petrol or a similarly flammable cleaning agent.
• In case of necessary repairs, contact an authorized service center.
• After cleaning, the fan must be completely reassembled
• Behavior in case of an emergency: In the event of visible damage, unusual noises, strong vibrations and/or malfunction, switch off the unit immediately, unplug the power cord and secure it against being switched on again. The fan must not be put back into operation until a qualified electrician has eliminated the cause of the fault and released it for reuse.
• In case of necessary repairs, contact an authorised service centre.

Storage

• If you are not going to use the fan for a long time, keep it in a dry room.
• You can also cover your unit to protect it from dust or dirt deposits.

Note: Opening the unit and repairs may only be carried out by a specialist!
