The Ecor Pro DH 1200 (DryFan) is a compact desiccant dehumidifier (6.4 kg, 200 × 200 × 300 mm) featuring a powder-coated sheet steel housing, specially developed for unheated rooms. With a dehumidification capacity of up to 11.6 liters per day (at 30 °C / 80% RH), this professional unit operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -20 °C to +40 °C. Since extracted moisture is vented outdoors as warm, moist air via a hose, a water tank is completely unnecessary—making it ideal for continuous operation in garages, boats, motorhomes, and cool storage rooms.
Your Benefits at a Glance
Operating Range from -20 °C to +40 °C
Uses a zeolite rotor process (desiccant) instead of a compressor. Dehumidifies reliably even at low temperatures, making it particularly suitable for unheated spaces where traditional compressor dehumidifiers reach their performance limits.
No Water Tank Required
No manual emptying needed: Moisture is continuously expelled outdoors as warm, moist air via the exhaust hose.
3-Duct System & Flexible Mounting
Equipped with 3 connections (process air inlet, dry air outlet, wet air exhaust). Can be placed upright on the floor or mounted on walls and ceilings.
Ideal Operating Locations for the Ecor Pro DH 1200
Compressor dehumidifiers lose significant performance in cool room temperatures. The desiccant technology of the Ecor Pro DryFan DH 1200 is particularly suitable for unheated or cold environments:
- Unheated Garages & Classic Car Shelters: Supports corrosion protection. Helps reduce high humidity, thereby lowering the risk of condensation and moisture that promotes mold growth.
- Boats, Yachts & Motorhomes: Protects interiors, wood, and electronics from high humidity during winter storage. (Note: For applications with high salt exposure, we recommend the stainless steel variant DH 1200 SST).
- Cool Cellars, Attics & Garden Sheds: Reliable dehumidification in unheated storage spaces.
- Construction Trailers, Technical Rooms & Sensitive Electronics Areas: Helps lower relative humidity and reduce the risk of condensation forming on sensitive equipment.
Desiccant vs. Compressor Dehumidifiers: How It Works
In conventional compressor dehumidifiers, air is cooled via a cooling coil so that water condenses into a container. This works well at normal room temperatures—however, if the temperature drops below 10 °C, dehumidification performance drops significantly, and at very low temperatures, the cooling coil can freeze.
The Ecor Pro DH 1200 desiccant dehumidifier instead utilizes a zeolite-coated rotor. This desiccant binds moisture even at low temperatures. An internal PTC heater continuously regenerates the rotor and directs the trapped moisture outside as warm, humid air. As a result, the device is especially suited for operation in cold spaces.
