The Ecor Pro DH 800 (DryFan) is a particularly compact and lightweight desiccant dehumidifier (4.8 kg, 200 × 200 × 200 mm) featuring a powder-coated sheet steel housing, specially developed for small, unheated spaces. With a dehumidification capacity of up to 8.4 liters per day (at 30 °C / 80% RH), this professional unit operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -20 °C to +40 °C. Since extracted moisture is vented outdoors as warm, moist air via a hose, a water tank is completely unnecessary—making it ideal for continuous, maintenance-free operation in garages, cool basements, caravans, and storage rooms.
Your Benefits at a Glance
Operating Range from -20 °C to +40 °C
Uses a zeolite rotor process (desiccant) instead of a compressor. Dehumidifies reliably even in cool temperatures and freezing conditions, where traditional condensation dehumidifiers reach their performance limits.
No Water Tank Required
No manual emptying needed: Moisture is continuously expelled outdoors as warm, moist air via the exhaust hose.
3-Duct System & Flexible Mounting
Equipped with 3 connections (process air inlet, dry air outlet, wet air exhaust). Can be placed upright on the floor or mounted on walls and ceilings.
Ideal Operating Locations for the Ecor Pro DH 800
Compressor dehumidifiers lose significant performance in cool room temperatures. The desiccant technology of the Ecor Pro DryFan DH 800 is particularly suitable for unheated or cool environments with small to medium room sizes:
- Unheated Garages & Classic Car Shelters: Supports corrosion protection. Helps reduce high humidity, thereby lowering the risk of condensation and mold-promoting moisture.
- Caravans, Motorhomes & Small Boats: Protects interiors, upholstery, and wood from high humidity during winter storage. (Note: For applications with high salt exposure, we recommend the stainless steel variant DH 800 SST).
- Cool Small Basements, Attics & Garden Sheds: Reliable drying and mold prevention in unheated storage spaces.
- Control Cabinets, Utility Rooms & Server Areas: Lowers relative humidity and protects sensitive electronics from condensation.
Desiccant vs. Compressor Dehumidifiers: How It Works
In conventional compressor dehumidifiers, air passes over a cooling coil to condense water into a collection container. While effective at standard room temperatures, if temperatures drop below 10 °C, performance declines significantly, and freezing can occur at very low temperatures.
The Ecor Pro DH 800 desiccant dehumidifier utilizes a zeolite-coated rotor instead. This desiccant binds moisture even at low temperatures. An internal PTC heater continuously regenerates the rotor and directs the trapped moisture outside as warm, humid air. As a result, the unit is exceptionally well suited for operation in cold spaces.
