What is a PWW heating coil?

A PWW heating coil (pumped warm water heating coil) is an air heating coil operated via an existing warm water circuit (e.g. central heating). By integrating it into the ventilation system, the air is efficiently tempered as it passes through a water-based heating coil.

How PWW heating coils work

Planning and installation tips

Heating coils should be installed downstream of the fan in the direction of airflow to prevent overheating of the motor and fan.

The duct section between the fan and the heating coil should be at least 1 meter long to ensure even airflow.
Weather protection and frost protection measures are important, especially for outdoor air supply.
