Brune B120 air humidifier
What is a humidifier good for?
A humidifier is usually a device that operates on electricity to increase the relative humidity of the air (rF). The ideal humidity is in living rooms and office buildings or the like at about 40 to 60 percent. Especially in winter, when the heaters are running at full speed, so we do not have to freeze at home or at work, it often happens that the relative humidity falls below the 40 percent mark. This low relative humidity in the heating season has a negative effect on the well-being of us humans, but also on the well-being of our skin animals. If the air in the rooms where you spend a lot or a long day is extremely dry, this not only affects our well-being, but can also cause diseases of the respiratory tract. Symptoms such as respiratory problems, a dry mouthfeel, voice disorders (a scratchy-sounding voice), irritated eyes, skin diseases, and others can occur due to the significant lack of moisture in the air of a room.
But it is not just the living inhabitants of a house, we humans and our pets, who suffer from too dry air humidity. Even furniture, wooden flooring, antique valuables and wooden musical instruments can be damaged if the air is too dry, as the wood from which they are made warps. In the beautiful wooden floor so furrows and elevations arise, where you can walk painfully without shoes, so at home mostly barefoot. Valuables, if they become forgiven, lose their distinctiveness and integrity, which equals a loss of value. The same applies to wooden musical instruments. For example, if a violin becomes distorted, it clearly loses value and becomes unusable, as the notes sound crooked and no harmonic piece can be played. This is the case with most instruments.
Protect yourself against large losses in value by avoiding a small investment and avoiding such problems as mentioned above, as well as worrying about them.
However, you should remember that the use of humidifiers with an increased requirement for hygiene is associated with it, because an increasing and thus higher humidity can promote the formation and especially the multiplication of microorganisms, such as bacteria or viruses and also of germs. To avoid over-wetting the selected rooms, KlimaLex recommends using a hygrostat. With the aid of the hygrostat you can determine the exact relative humidity and thus know how intensively you need to use the humidifier.
