Ventilation control using dew point measurement
Since warm air carries a lot of moisture, it condenses on the cold basement wall. Thus, over time, a lot of water is carried into the wall walls. Mold growth is then only a matter of time. Since you don't know when the right time to ventilate is, the dew point ventilation control was developed. This measures the climatic conditions outside and inside, which then calculates the dew point (absolute humidity). The measured values are used to decide when the fans will start and completely exchange the humid air in your basement. This automatic shock ventilation takes place until your basement is dry.
How it worksThe controller ensures that the rooms are only ventilated if the outside air is even able to absorb moisture. This is determined by means of a dew point measurement. The lower the dew point temperature outside, the more moisture the air can absorb. The moisture is transported out of the house by the ventilation system using fans when the conditions for ventilation are optimal. The inside temperature can be limited so that the cellar does not cool down in cold temperatures. Temperature, rel. humidity and the dew point temperature of both sensors can be read.
